So sunday night Craig and I and some of our friends went to see mahjongg at the cattle auction house. Everything about the night was amazing. The venue: amazing, the sound: amazing, mahjonggz: amazing. I love that band more everytime I see them. SERIOUSLY! Anyways you can read a review that sums up the evening perfectly
here: http://www.comomusic.com/displayshowreview.php?showreviewid=336

Last night we went to see Stars and Apostle of Hustle. Both bands feature members of Broken Social Scene, so you know the sound. Nice spacey pop, but everything post-mahjongg at the cattle auction house is inferior.

Spring break next week!
Joe I will be in town sunday and monday, we should hang out.

So New Years Eve was interesting this year. I spent it completely sober, I was the designated driver. This is quite a contrast to how I have spent my past four new years. It was a nice change of pace though. Craig and I went out to our friend Erin's house who cooked us a cuban inspired dinner, and they made me a belated red velvet birthday cake. That was followed by an art debate. Every time we hang out with those kids we end up in a long heated discussion about art. I suppose there are worse things to argue about.

Last night I went to Craig's cousins wedding. Its always interesting to enter other people's reality. It makes me realize how college life is so far from most people's reality. It makes me nervous to graduate, this has been my lifestyle for five years, and I am not ready for it to end. After the wedding we went to Craig's aunts house and put on a buzz, we came home after that and played darts with Evan and Craig's brother.

Tomorrow Craig, Adrienne, and I leave for Pittsburgh. It shall be a good time since our trip is going to consist of museums and booze.

Classes are going well. I am really into my beginning drawing class, I am being very patient with my drawings and so far all of the have turned out better than I expected. I think I am a better at drawing than I thought. I seem to be doing especially well with the color aspect of the class.

Wednesday evening I went to see the adversary workers at a house down the street. I only made it for a couple songs, but they sounded really good, and joe I love the new song, it is awesome. Also Joe I am still interested in doing the artwork, but I need to take some portraits of you guys, next time I come down to stl I'll bring my camera.

This past weekend Craig's friends Natalie and Dyan came down to visit. We saw mahjongg on saturday night and on sunday we hit the record/vintage stores downtown.
Monday we gave Natalie a ride back home to Carbondale and on the way back to Columbia Craig and I stopped at a gas station in nashville, IL and I just had to buy the "freedom" tickler out of the condom vending machine in the men's restroom. "It's the patriotic thing to do." We are out of control.

I began my ninth semester at Mizzou this week. Everything was going as planned until I entered the lecture hall for my Animal Science class. For some reason an art degree requires a lab science class so I thought Animal Science sounded cute and fun. We would study animals and maybe dissect an earthworm or a frog. I should have known that this was not the case once I saw my classmates. They were the type of people that wear john deere hats for reasons that are not ironic. The professor walked into the classroom and told us that the majority of the class time would be spent in a meat locker, and that we would be casing sausage today. I felt a wave of panic come over me, and began looking for the closest exit to my seat. I ended up making a dignified exit after the professor told us that the class would not be a good idea for vegetarians, not that I am a vegetarian. So now I am in a Biology lab for non-science majors. Today we smashed frozen marshmallows with a hammer, and tomorrow we are going to measure seashells.
